Golden Moment-St. Johns River

I am really enjoying painting this new series of early and late day light. This one I worked with many glazes and a sable brush and it just glows. The picture doesn't do it any favors. I'll try to get a better picture once I put retouch varnish on it. Looks fab in a frame.

"Potomac Solitude"

Just finished this painting. Oil on canvas panel, 12 x 16. I was craving to do a painting with subtle colors and glazes. Here is the result.

Backlit sailing

Here is another 10 x 8 oil I did to go with the "Spinnaker Run" and "Close Reach" paintings. These look very nice together as a group.

Spinnaker Run

Here is my second one. 11x14.

Close Reach

Started a series of sailing paintings. Apropos since my family has owned many racing sloops. I need to find pictures from our M Class boat and paint them. She was gorgeous! For now I warmed up with this small 10x8 oil.

My studio.

Finally finished! I love my new space and haven't stopped painting!

I finally finished my studio on Saturday and I have been painting since! Finished a 20 x 30 Florida scene and just finished a 24x30 scene from Wye Landing on the Eastern Shore.

I love my new space. Much better then a mouse and spider infested basement! Of course the kids just lost a play room but that's life! I'll post the images of the studio next.

Above paintings-
"End of the Day on the Loxahatchee"-20x30, oil on canvas
"Morning Solitude" -24x30, oil on canvas
